Intermedia Enhances Rapidly Growing UCaaS Offering with Asset Acquisition of Web Conferencing Pioneer, AnyMeeting

In February of this year, Intermedia partnered with private equity sponsor, Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP), with a shared vision of scaling our business further through both organic growth and acquisitions.

To that end, we are pleased to share that Intermedia has acquired substantially all the assets of AnyMeeting, a company that offers full-featured and easy-to-use web conferencing, video conferencing, and webinar services to more than one million registered users.

I spoke with Intermedia’s CEO, Michael Gold about the benefits this acquisition brings to our already extremely popular Cloud Voice solution, and he had this to say:

With this acquisition of AnyMeeting’s technology assets and current team, we will have an even more tightly integrated communication and collaboration platform. Owning these capabilities ourselves enables us to develop an integrated user experience focused on providing higher levels of productivity for our customers, and greater opportunity for our partners. Intermedia will continue to offer all the cloud products and features our customers and partners currently enjoy, including business email, Office 365®, backup and file sharing, and security. Intermedia’s solution now not only includes Cloud PBX, but also integrated web conferencing, video conferencing, and webinar technology developed by AnyMeeting, for a true UC offering.

AnyMeeting’s 14 employees have joined Intermedia and continue to be based in Southern California in what is Intermedia’s newest office location. I spoke with AnyMeeting’s founder and Intermedia’s VP of Collaboration, Product, and Marketing, Costin Tuculescu, about how he sees the future:

What’s next?

By continuing to build on top of our core technology platform, Intermedia has more than tripled in size in just five years, driving annualized revenue beyond $200 million. Solution integration work is underway, with the first offering expected to be available by early next year. We are excited to deliver an even more robust UCaaS experience, as we further solidify our intent to be THE one-stop shop provider. It’s exciting times ahead!
